Please remember that if you need to schedule an appointment, have a prescription filled, or ask a question regarding your pet you need to call the hospital during our normal business hours at (815) 469-3346. We will make every attempt to answer your questions and address your concerns in a timely fashion. Thanks!!
During the hours when our office is closed and the emergency clinics are also closed (Monday from 5:00pm-7:00pm, Wednesday from 8:00am-7:00pm, and Friday from 3:00pm-7:00pm) you can call one of our staff members at (815) 557-0955 if you have a medical emergency. Please only use this number for emergencies and during these hours. Only calls and messages left during these hours will be taken or returned.
Thursday surgical admittance (drop offs) between 8:00am and 8:15am
- It is extremely important that all surgery appointments arrive between 8:00am and 8:15am, if you arrive up to 15 minutes after 8:15am you will be assessed an additional fee of $30.00 or given the option of rescheduling. If you arrive after 8:30am you will need to reschedule your appointment.
- We ask that you arrive at least 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment time if you are coming in for routine examinations and procedures.
- If your pet is ill, injured, or new to us we ask that you arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to allow us ample time to take a full medical history and gather the patient's information.
- While we may not always have an open appointment when you need it, we will make every attempt to see a sick or injured patient. This sometimes means that we will ask you to "drop your pet off". This is often the fastest way to have your pet examined and treated by Dr. Sackman, as she can begin your pets exam between her surgery appointments, regular appointments, and in her down time. Please do not be offended if we offer you a drop off and be assured that your pet will receive the same level of care and compassion as if you were here yourself.
