The Rainbow Bridge
Author Unknown

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to the rainbow bridge.  There are meadows and hills for all our special friends so they can run and play together.  There is plenty of food, water, and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been old or ill are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days gone by.

The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they miss someone very special to them who they had to leave behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance.  His bright eyes are intent; his eager body quivers.  Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted!!  And when you and your special friend finally cling to each other in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.

The happy kisses rain upin your face; your hands again caress the beloved head and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then together you cross the rainbow bridge...

Client's may submit pictures and memories of their pets to, to have their pets added to our memorial for our furry friends who have crossed the rainbow bridge.

Some pets come into our lives and quietly go, others quietly go and leave pawprints on our hearts; and we are never the same.

Lucky the cat

Miss Lucky journeyed to the rainbow bridge on Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, due to kidney failure. Our thanks to Dr. Dawn Sackman and her staff, who tried to help get her well and was patient enough to teach me how to give her the IV medication and medicine injections to get her well. Although her illness was too advanced and she was just too weak, we said our good byes and sent her on her new journey where there is no more sickness or pain. Thanks to everyone at Sackman Animal Hospital for your patience and dedication and for making Lucky's journey as peaceful as possible.

Thank you Lucky for six wonderful years of your life with us. I hope you enjoyed your time here and thank you for sharing your life with us.

Thank you,

Sue Krueger
